ApowerMirror – Controls an Android Using Your PC Instructions

I recently wanted the ability to control my High Tech Computer 626S Google Android smartphone, from a computer. I use my Google Android smartphone as a webcam, but have to start the ApowerMirror application on this High Tech Computer 626S device. Then I have to start the ApowerMirror desktop application.

Hence, this is why I would like to control my High Tech Computer 626S Google Android smartphone from a far. I found this application called ApowerMirror that can control your Google Android smartphone from a computer over WiFi and universal serial bus. There is a free evaluation version that allows you to control your Google Android smartphone and even allows the ability to record screen captures.

With the free ApowerMirror Google Android software application version you can record a screen capture of your Google Android smartphone screen up to three minutes. Also, full screen mode is disabled. You will need to enable universal serial bus debugging mode on your Google Android smartphone in order to get this software to function correctly.

You will want to browse to “Settings” on your Google Android smartphone and then choose “Developer Options”. Then you will need to turn on “USB Debugging”. Now you can connect your Google Android smartphone with a universal serial bus cable to your personal computer.

You can then download and install the ApowerMirror Google Android software application. You do not need to install this application directly on your Google Android smartphone as the personal computer version will install it for you. A message will pop up on your Google Android, “ApowerMirror will start capturing everything that’s displayed on your screen”.

You can click the "START NOW" button or the "CANCEL" button. There is a checkbox that you can click called “Don’t Show Again”. If you restart your Google Android smartphone device or clear the ApowerMirror software application cache, you will need to go through this initial process again.

Ultra video poverty or de what are you

0:03

to make this video pertaining to a

0:06

application that allows me to control my

0:08

android using my computer I have a HTC 6

0:13

2 6 s running marshmallow I found this

0:18

application a power mirror and I will

0:21

include a link in this video description

0:23

to my blog post saying it appears calm

0:26

that has more information that has

0:28

detailed instructions in text and also

0:31

has the download link to this

0:34

application it's there's a free

0:35

evaluation version and there's a premium

0:38

version so I already download it it's a

0:40

power mirror dot exe it's version 1.0 9

0:44

0 by 8 power soft limited it's about 26

0:50

megabytes so it's not that large you do

0:54

not need to download the Android there

0:57

is an Android app but you don't have to

1:00

download it this software will

1:02

automatically install it for you

1:03

so click run and say yes that the user

1:08

account control I'm running Windows 10

1:10

64 bit English then we're just going to

1:16

click Next accept click Next it's an 8 X

1:22

86 so that tells you it's 32 bit but

1:25

that's fine and it still works on

1:26

Windows 10 even though I have 64-bit I

1:29

don't want to create a desktop shortcut

1:31

a quick launch sure why not run no no I

1:37

don't like applications to start at

1:39

windows when windows starts nope click

1:43

Next click install it's going to take a

1:46

few seconds to install files

1:52

then I want to launch now you're gonna

1:54

have to go to your Android so you're

1:57

going to need your Android what you know

2:00

another thing you need to do is make

2:02

sure you enable debugging mode I will go

2:06

over that once I get this installed and

2:08

mirroring if it's a mirror application

2:11

it allows you to see exactly what's on

2:13

screen on your Android and it's also a

2:16

screen capture program so it's both and

2:22

it also will record video up to three

2:27

minutes with the free evaluation version

2:29

you're able to record up to three

2:31

minutes

2:32

I'm uninstalling the version on my

2:35

Android right now just to show you the

2:38

whole process are I removed it so you

2:40

want to connect your you want to make

2:42

sure your Android is in debugging mode

2:44

and then obviously you want to connect

2:48

it to your computer with USB that way it

2:51

will allow it to install the software on

2:53

Android I don't want to register and

2:55

I'll check this out you can continue to

2:57

evaluate trial version with following

2:59

limitations only one device can be

3:00

mirrored only allow recording for three

3:03

minutes with ads and watermarks but

3:05

that's fine it I don't think it expires

3:07

the evaluation you can buy the full

3:11

version I'll get to that please connect

3:15

the phone to the computer via USB it's

3:17

already connected so it's going to

3:18

search it's going to find your device

3:19

and then it will it's right now it's

3:23

installing the app on the Android it

3:25

does that too and then it connects to

3:28

the Android it takes a little while it

3:34

could be my computer I think my

3:37

motherboard only supports USB 2.0

3:39

connections I don't think I have a USB

3:40

three I'm not sure if this application

3:42

supports USB 3 now on my Android it

3:45

popped up the window right here I'm

3:49

looking at the same window so I'm going

3:51

to a power mirror will start capturing

3:54

everything that's displayed on your

3:55

screen there's a checkbox I'm going to

3:57

hit the check box and I'm going to click

3:59

start now so that tells me that this

4:01

desktop version installed

4:03

application on my Android so I don't

4:07

need to download the app you know how a

4:09

lot of times you have to a client/server

4:11

anyways not to get too technical but I'm

4:13

gonna click start now and then this is

4:20

another option a power mirror can show

4:22

the notification of your phone please

4:24

enable notification on your phone what

4:29

this does is it will it will show you

4:34

notifications you know how you get

4:35

notifications like there's an update or

4:39

you get an email if you set up email you

4:42

know the notification is on your Android

4:43

so I'm gonna I'm going to enable it now

4:45

you can also check do not show this

4:48

again now this this is exactly what's on

4:51

my Android you are looking at my android

4:54

now now it's not the fastest but that

4:56

well I think I changed the video setting

4:58

so we'll get into the video settings if

5:01

you notice if I click on full screen it

5:06

will not allow you and then it asks you

5:08

to register and buy now so we'll just

5:10

click back on evaluation you can take a

5:13

screenshot which is just a photo so this

5:17

could be handy when I make tutorial

5:19

videos for Android now I'm gonna use

5:22

this this is kind of one another reason

5:24

why killing multiple birds with one

5:25

stone

5:26

I wanted to remote excuse me couldn't I

5:29

wanted to control my android because I

5:31

also use it as a webcam and I use the

5:34

software droid cam the problem with that

5:37

is I have to start it up on the Android

5:39

then I have to start it on my desktop

5:43

and and this doesn't always work but not

5:47

to digress too much so this allows me to

5:49

also turn on my webcam for my videos and

5:52

then also control my Android and then

5:54

also you can take screenshots of it of

5:58

this it would take the screenshot of my

6:00

android screen and this is the exact

6:02

same screen I'm looking at now in order

6:07

to get notifications you you click this

6:10

checkbox here a power mirror that will

6:13

allow a power mirror

6:15

I think I could be wrong click okay okay

6:18

a power mero will be able to read all

6:19

notifications including personal

6:21

information such as contact names in the

6:22

text of messages you receive it will

6:24

also be able to dismiss notifications or

6:26

trigger action buttons they contain I

6:28

think this this will allow it to pop up

6:30

on your computer but I could be wrong or

6:32

at least the notification will come

6:35

across on the screen I'm going to put my

6:39

Android down softly because I want the

6:43

USB connection to you know detach now

6:48

there's also a video start recording

6:51

however since this is the free

6:52

evaluation version it will only record

6:54

up to three minutes but that's okay I

6:56

don't know if I will ever need it but

6:58

you know I'm saying but what that would

7:00

allow you to do is record videos of your

7:05

use on your Android you could use it for

7:07

a tutorial but you'd have to keep it

7:10

under three minutes

7:10

there's a tools we can click on that and

7:14

in order to browse on your Android you

7:17

you use your mouse you use your mouse

7:19

and your keyboard on your computer and

7:21

you can see the screen and even it it

7:24

even shows up as a like an arrant you

7:27

know like an Android the shape of an

7:29

android the paid for version is we can

7:35

check we can let's click up and buy now

7:37

because I don't know how much it costs

7:38

I'm not an affiliate I don't I'm not

7:40

getting paid $40 for the full version it

7:43

looks like that right looks like we can

7:48

close this

7:50

screen oh it's really loud so I'm

7:54

scrolling with my mouth I just scroll up

7:56

and scrolled down just as if this was a

7:59

Windows computer then you see these

8:02

three buttons these are just like I have

8:03

on my Android so I'm gonna click this to

8:06

go home but I could do that or we could

8:09

go back this is the tool so looks like

8:12

there's no free tools but you know it's

8:14

a free evaluation copy click on the

8:17

options you can change under general

8:19

settings auto connect when one device is

8:24

connected run on startup I don't want

8:26

that but that's ok though I'm gonna

8:27

leave those alone you can change the

8:29

display quality I mean my Android takes

8:32

720p video and so you could bump this up

8:38

to 1080 1920 by 1080 if your device

8:41

supports that kind of video quality

8:43

it also will work on an iPhone iPhone 6

8:46

6 7 in 720 and then also iPhone 6 6 or 7

8:51

plus in 1080 I'm just gonna leave it at

8:55

the default I'll click OK here and was

8:59

ok whoops let's go with 2 capturing

9:02

settings ok this is when you make a

9:05

video you're going to capture the your

9:07

screen for a tutorial you can have

9:10

different video settings as you can see

9:12

you can choose different type of a video

9:14

file that you could upload to YouTube or

9:16

dailymotion or wherever the video

9:18

quality set to high you can change that

9:21

now this is could be important what this

9:24

will do I think I could be wrong but I

9:27

think if you set it to none then there's

9:32

no audio input if you set it to

9:34

microphone it will if you have a

9:35

microphone connected to your PC I think

9:37

it will get the audio from that if if

9:41

it's system sounds you don't want to

9:43

record your your voice but you want to

9:47

record system sounds you would select it

9:49

to that or you could have both the

9:52

output directory it will it will this is

9:55

where the video file will get saved to

9:58

and then that's just something else but

10:00

you can change that I'm just going to

10:02

click okay their language English

10:04

feedback and that's about it for

10:06

settings now I'm going to surely what

10:08

you know how to function it so you click

10:10

this to go home or click that to go back

10:12

or this you know once and just like as

10:15

if you're using your Android so I'm

10:17

going to close I'm going to close this

10:19

notification access screen I'm going to

10:21

show you I can I can hit the middle and

10:25

that'll minimize it you see now in order

10:28

to use this like on an Android you

10:31

left-click you hold your left mouse

10:33

button and then you you just scroll down

10:36

as if it's your finger and then there

10:39

you go then the menu expands as you can

10:42

see a power mirror is installed I did

10:44

not have to go to my Android installed

10:46

it when I installed the desktop version

10:49

it also installed the version on the

10:52

Android so it's it's the it's kind of

10:54

like the server and then the desktop is

10:56

the client so I didn't have to worry

10:57

about that and as you can see you can

11:01

see my you know my notifications and

11:04

blah blah blah so you just hold down

11:06

your left mouse button to go back and

11:09

it's charged so it's charging it's this

11:14

is exactly what you would see my Android

11:17

and we can see this is another reason

11:22

why I wanted this is really why it's got

11:26

this camera so I'll just to to test

11:30

let's see in order to test will just

11:35

quickly mount this kind of there and

11:40

what we'll do is

11:46

it'll show you the camera I mean we can

11:48

you know we can go to YouTube or what

11:51

else we can turn on the flashlight

11:55

but develop remote how about how about I

11:58

do that now in order to get developer

12:00

mode working you have to go to settings

12:05

so we'll just open that up

12:08

click on the gear and then go to

12:16

developer options on your Android then

12:18

go to developer options so you go to

12:20

settings and developer options mine's

12:22

already set otherwise it wouldn't work

12:23

then you want to turn on USB debugging I

12:27

think I passed it

12:36

there it is right there I sorry I'm just

12:39

kind of getting used to this application

12:43

mm come on now well let's go back to the

12:50

top I don't know if you can use your

12:52

keyboard maybe I should use my keyboard

12:55

yeah it works you can use your keyboard

12:57

to scroll up and down to okay there's

13:00

USB debugging depending on what Android

13:02

use it's checked you would go in here it

13:06

wouldn't be checked you would aren't you

13:08

would check it and then it would

13:09

probably pop up a message possibly to

13:12

turn it you know on set and then when

13:13

you connect your Android to your PC you

13:17

get a pop up on your Android and you

13:18

have to at least mine mine I don't know

13:20

if there's a way to automate it but mine

13:22

I have to click yes and that also allows

13:24

me to copy files that back and forth

13:27

from my android without you know on Sam

13:30

so that's how to enable developer mode

13:34

you'll have to have that set in order to

13:36

use this software so we can just click

13:39

you know minimize that what can we test

13:43

here this is why I'm trying I'm going to

13:45

use it what this will allow me to do is

13:47

to open up the camera and then it will

13:51

be obviously it will obviously be it

13:58

maximizes it to now as you can see is

14:01

kind of slow that could be because I

14:03

have I'm not sure why that is USB I'm

14:07

trying to think

14:09

USB 2.0 3.0 and I have USB 3.0 however

14:14

it's slow because it's showing the

14:17

screen that's my camera but what I can

14:23

do is I can turn on my camera now it's

14:28

not going to record using the software

14:29

it's going to record using the Android

14:31

and then it's going to save the video

14:33

file on to my Android and there because

14:37

I want to make tutorial videos I'm

14:39

trying to get a camcorder I had an old

14:41

older camcorder that I had that broke

14:44

and I was not able to

14:47

I was not able to solder it the power

14:49

the power connector broke off and I

14:54

couldn't solder it back so for now this

14:56

is what I use for my youtube videos but

14:59

let's say I didn't wanted to use my

15:02

computer I just wanted to take a video

15:04

of whatever and well actually one reason

15:11

why is I got this evaluation software I

15:14

got this bit racer so I wanted to just

15:18

record part of the video with just my

15:23

Android but if I wouldn't if I wouldn't

15:26

be able to control my Android remotely

15:28

well then I would have to hit go into

15:33

the camera application and then hit

15:36

start and then walk around the camera

15:39

and that just that's not you know I

15:41

don't want to have to do that so this

15:43

kills multiple birds with one stone for

15:46

me so I'll close the camera application

15:48

and my Android I need to look into it it

15:53

does this crap where it just whatever so

15:57

let's close that app and then it's back

16:01

to the screen and then in order to move

16:03

screens you just hold down your left

16:05

mouse button and you move as if it's

16:08

your finger and that'll take you to this

16:10

screen do I have three maybe I just have

16:15

to I think I disabled the third screen

16:17

because it was like ads and news crap

16:21

and then what else can I show it so it

16:23

this is exactly what my android screen

16:25

looks like and then if I click this it

16:29

takes me to my app apps and then then I

16:31

can manage them and so this this is just

16:36

exactly what I needed

16:38

it's it's a little bit well slow it's a

16:41

free evaluation version it's a little

16:44

slow but it could be because my my

16:47

computer only has USB 2.0 connections I

16:50

think that I think I'm pretty sure I

16:52

don't think I have USB 3.0 that could be

16:55

a reason why USB 3.0 the blue

16:58

connections are required to fast

16:59

and then you just scroll down and look

17:02

at your applications and know so you

17:04

this is a way and then also Wi-Fi let me

17:08

see if I can show you Wi-Fi I think we

17:11

have two we might have to go back here

17:13

and you see how it added the application

17:15

automatically I didn't have to go to the

17:17

Android and install it out the Google

17:19

Play Store

17:20

tap banner let's see if we can change in

17:24

here from what I'm pretty sure and you

17:26

can choose Wi-Fi mode let's see maybe

17:30

not all settings all desktop

17:34

notifications I think I already want it

17:37

over that check Auto check for updates

17:39

you can turn that off I'm going to turn

17:41

off the send error report

17:42

I don't want now I'll check turn that

17:46

off desktop notifications we are I think

17:49

we already went over that yep let's see

17:57

where where let's see screen mode how

17:59

about capture settings general settings

18:06

I'm thinking maybe the fact that that

18:09

it's connected to my computer via USB

18:12

and it's running that I can't change the

18:15

Wi-Fi settings you might you might well

18:17

you know what it might be in the

18:19

software I didn't really mess around

18:21

with that because I I don't want to use

18:23

it via Wi-Fi yeah let's see I know it

18:28

installs software to my desktop let's

18:31

check that out

18:32

yeah it's already running well you know

18:35

what it might be on your Android there

18:38

that you might have to go on your

18:40

Android and well bit what I am on my

18:44

Android let's try to go back and then

18:47

I'm gonna run if I can't figure it out

18:48

within a few seconds because I don't

18:49

want to waste your time in my time it's

18:52

not important to me the Wi-Fi mode that

18:54

it might be important to you is there a

18:59

way to let's see let's move this and

19:01

then right-click you know what it's

19:04

probably because I'm connected I'm

19:06

thinking it alright disconnect and go in

19:09

on either via the windows software

19:12

or the Android software then you can

19:14

change it to Wi-Fi but you have to be on

19:15

your your Android must be on the same

19:22

network as your wireless router so a

19:25

power mirror you can control your

19:30

Android from my computer and an iPhone

19:34

adios
