Apple Incorporated has extended their warranty on Apple iPad Pro smart keyboards. These keyboards have been suffering issues like sticking, repeating, and not responsive keys. Other problems include, a magnetic connection problem, connection issues, and sensor issues.
These detachable bluetooth keyboards come in two sizes, 9.7 inches and 12.9 inches. Apple is extending this warranty up to three years after date of purchase. This will be a free service offered by Apple within three years after purchase.
9to5MAC was able to obtain an internal memo from Apple about this warranty. Customers can either have their Smart Keyboard repaired or replaced. Originally these keyboards came with just a twelve month warranty.
Finally, apple is going to issue refunds to customers who ended up purchasing replacement keyboards that are now covered under this extended warranty.
