Another computer issue in the world order. This time an individual had a question about Macintosh computers and webcam compatibility. Here is the original initial question verbatim below.
I need help getting my new Logitech C920 web cam to work.
This individual was using a Apple Macintosh mini computer with Apple Macintosh Mojave 10.14 operating system installed. They had purchased an application from the Apple Applicatin store called “Web Cam Settings”. What a fucking waste of money.
Anyways, they had watched another Youtube video to try and help them install the Logitech C920 on their Apple Macintosh mini computer with Apple Macintosh Mojave 10.14 operating system installed. This is what solved this conundrum.
You can download and install the webcam software from the following link.
They were then able to use their Logitech C920 webcam with their Apple Macintosh mini computer. When it comes to Logitech web cameras and Apple Macintosh computers, it can become a crap shoot. It really depends on the exact model of Logitech web camera you have.
Also, important is what Apple Macintosh operating system you are using. You do NOT necessarily want to assume that your Logitech web camera will work with your Apple Macintosh computer. Also, you do NOT want to necessarily assume that the operating system you are using on your Apple Macintosh computer will be compatible with your Logitech web camera.
You could always first find out what web camera model you have or wish to purchase. Then find out the exact operating system you are using. This example this individual was using Apple Macintosh 10.14 Mojave.
Then you want to verify on Logitech’s website whether or not your Logitech web camera will work or not. Sometimes there will be a software download available. However, depending on the exact operating system and Logitech we camera model, there may NOT be any software download available for your Apple Macintosh computer.
Also, you want to first install the software onto your Macintosh computer. Then once that is accomplished successfully, you connect the web camera to a Universal Serial Bus cable on your Macintosh computer. Finally, you open up a video software application similar to Facetime, Skype, etc. to test your web camera.
