Microsoft Office Word – Exploit

An email exploit has been found by Mcafee virus researchers. This exploit targets versions of Microsoft Word that are not patched. This exploit uses Microsoft object and linking embedding.

Attackers are then able to embed malicious code inside Microsoft Word documents. As soon as these files are opened, then this exploit is executed. A Dridex gang than emailed million of users an exploit using this flaw.

Microsoft claims that they will patch this exploit on Tuesday April eleven two thousand seventeen. You can block this exploit by enabling "Protected View Mode". This zero day exploit actually affects all versions of Microsoft Office Word program.

This Driden attack mostly targeted users in Australia.
