Norton – Releases Core Secured Residential WiFi Router

Norton by Symantec released their very first hardware device ever. The Norton Core is a secure home wireless router. This device retails for $279.99 but can be pre-ordered for $199.

This WiFi router is designed for residential use and not business use. You receive a one year subscription to Norton's Core Security Plus. This service provides security protection for up to twenty personal computers, Macs, smartphones, and tablet computers.

If you do not renew this subscription at expiration, then you are still able to use this home WiFi router for unlimited devices. This router boasts up to 2.5 Gigabits per second speed. This WiFi router has dual band reception at 2.4 Gigahertz and 5 Gigahertz.

This device supports 802.11 a, b, g, n, and ac connections. There are two USB ports and four gigabit ports, with one being a wide area network port. This is a full fledged router with dynamic host control protocol and network address translation capabilities.

Data is encrypted using WiFi protected access two. This Norton Core WiFi router has parental control capabilities with Norton Core Security Plus subscription. This subscription costs $9.99 per month with a one year commitment.

This device supports gaming and 4K video streaming. You can download and install a free smart device application to administrate features such as parental controls. This Norton Core router supports guest networks.

This device comes with a one year manufacturers warranty.
