iTunes Print – Are You Unable to Print Out of Apple iTunes?

Sometimes for strange reasons, you may be unable to print out of Apple iTunes. All of the sudden you are unable to print your playlists or other iTunes information. This requires a complete removal of Apple iTunes, Apple QuickTime, and other Apple components.

The following instructions give you a tutorial on the complete removal process for Microsoft Windows XP. Once all necessary software is removed then proceed with the installation of all appropriate Apple software so that you may print from within iTunes once again. You must remove Apple iTunes and other pieces of software, in the order stipulated below.

Remove Apple iTunes

iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CD-ROM(s) are saved in your “My Music” folder by default and are not deleted by removing Apple iTunes. Quit Apple iTunes if that application is open. From the Microsoft Windows “Start” menu select “Control Panel”.

In Control Panel open “Add or Remove Programs”. Choose Apple iTunes from that list of installed programs, then click “Remove”. Select “Yes” when asked to remove that software.

Do NOT restart your computer if you are prompted to. Remove any other Apple iTunes software in “Add or Remove Programs”. Remove any Apple iPod updater applications.

Remove Apple QuickTime

Quit Apple QuickTime player if that application is open. Click the Microsoft Windows “Start” menu then choose “Control Panel”. In Control Panel select “Add or Remove Programs”.

Choose Apple QuickTime from the list of programs, then click on “Uninstall”. Select “Yes” to uninstall Apple QuickTime. Do NOT restart your computer if prompted.

Remove any other Apple QuickTime software applications. Remove Apple Software Update. Quit Apple Software Update if that application is still open.

Click the Microsoft Windows “Start” menu then choose “Control Panel”. In Control Panel select “Add or Remove Programs”. Click on “Apple Software Update” from installed programs then click on “Uninstall”.

Select “Yes” to uninstall Apple Software Update. Do NOT restart your computer if you are prompted to. Remove any other Apple Software Update applications.

Remove Apple Mobile Device Support

Click on the Microsoft Windows “Start” menu and then choose “Control Panel”. In Control Panel select “Add or Remove Programs”. Choose Apple Mobile Device Services from the installed programs then click on “Uninstall”.

Select “Yes” to remove Apple Mobile Device Support. Do NOT restart your computer if prompted to do so. Do NOT manually delete the Mobile Device Support C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple folder.

Remove that folder with “Add or Remove Programs” as described above instead. Remove Apple Application Support With iTunes 9 or newer. Click the Microsoft Windows “Start” menu then choose “Control Panel”.

In Control Panel select “Add or Remove Programs”. Choose Apple Application Support from the installed programs then click on “Uninstall”. Select “Yes” to remove Apple Application Support for iTunes 9 or newer.

Do NOT restart your computer if prompted to do so. Verify that Apple iTunes and any related components are now completely removed. These instructions were written for Microsoft Windows XP operating system, but can certainly be used as a basis point for other Microsoft operating systems.

HP Recovery Disc – Need HP And Compaq System Recovery Discs?

You can order system restore compact discs directly from Hewlett Packard online. Hewlett Packard keeps a supply of recovery disks for a limited time only. You will need either your product number or model number of your Hewlett Packard computer.

You can skip to the section called ordering recovery disks from Hewlett Packard. If your Hewlett Packard computer boots into Microsoft Windows then you can use HP recovery media creator software, to create your own recovery media. This could potentially save you money and time.

You can also obtain instructions showing you how to create your own recovery disks. Also, Hewlett Packard recommends obtaining recovery disks for computers they no longer provide recovery disks for, from online auction sites and computer suppliers. HP Recovery Disc are available for order online from Hewlett Packard. If you cannot find disks for your computer, it may be because recovery disks are no longer available. The older your computer gets the less likely that recovery disks will be available.

At the bottom of this page you can contact Hewlett Packard if you are NOT able to find recovery disks and or burn recovery media. Believe it or not, you may be able to find recovery disks on Amazon.com, eBay.com, and even Craigslist.org. Make sure that you order or purchase recovery disks manufactured for your computer.

This is where knowing your exact model of computer is important. The computer model number should be printed on a sticker attached to your desktop or laptop computer. Hewlett Packard has pointed out that your model number might be listed on a sticker under the battery on laptop computers manufactured in two thousand ten or later.

If all else fails it might be worth contacting Hewlett Packard directly. You will need to know your HP computer serial number. Also, you want to try to find out the exact model computer that you have.

Browse to the official Hewlett Packard website. Click on the “Support” link at the top of the page. Now you want to click on “Software and Drivers”.

You can either click on “Identify Now” which will attempt to identify your Hewlett Packard computer or type in your HP model under “Enter my HP Model Number”. Select “Find my product”.

Choose your exact HP computer if more than one is listed. Choose driver language and operating system. Choose your operating system from a drop down menu.

From a list of downloads, select “Order Recovery Media CD/DVD/USB” and then click “Order Media” to begin the order process. If you cannot find a “Recovery Media” section for your computer model, then Hewlett Packard does not have a recovery kit available for your computer. Type the computer serial number, and then click “Next”.

Type your 5 digit zip code and then click “Next”. Choose a shipping method from the options available, and then click “Next”. Enter in your shipping address, and then click “Next”.

This information should match the address on your credit card. You will need to enter in your credit card number and credit card verification number, then click on “Submit”. If Hewlett Packard does NOT have any recovery media then you might be able to find some on Amazon.com and or eBay.com.
