Google Incorporated has stepped up their spy apparatus er I mean data retrieval. Google Adwords which is an online marketing tool, now will have a capability to track offline data. Google Attribution will attempt to retrieve data pertaining to online users’ offline purchases.
This technology obtains data from Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and DoubleClick search. Google has been able to track brick and mortar store visits since two thousand fourteen. Five billion store visits have been tracked in three years.
Advertisers using Google Adwords have been privy to this data. Google claims that they are able to obtain more store visits data with attribution. They are able to obtain tracking data in malls and densely populated cities.
Soon Google will be able to track brick and mortar store visits from YouTube TrueView ads.
