Skype and Skype For Business – Mobile App Versions Retired

I recently logged into an email account for another web domain, besides this one. I received an email from Microsoft Skype claiming that they detected me using Skype on a non computer device. I only use Skype on desktop, laptop, and androids.

Microsoft is retiring the following Skype versions.

* Windows Phone 8
* Windows Phone 8.1
* Windows 10 Mobile
* Windows RT
* TV

These versions of Skype will be retired permanently as of July first two thousand seventeen. You will no longer be able to sign into your Skype account from afore mentioned versions of Skype. What is strange I have never used Skype on any devices that would use these Skype versions.

You can verify what current versions of Microsoft Skype are available for download and use.
