I recently wanted an ability to control my HTC 626S Android, from a computer. I use my android as a webcam, but have to start an application on this device. Then I have to start a desktop application.
Hence, this is why I would like to control my Android from a far. I found this application ApowerMirror that can control your Android from a computer via WiFi and universal serial bus. There is a free evaluation version that allows you to control your android and even screen capture.
With free version you can record a screen capture of your Android screen up to three minutes. Also, full screen mode is disabled. You will need to enable USB debugging mode on your Android in order to get this software to function.
Browse to “Settings” on your Android and then choose “Developer Options”. Turn on “USB Debugging”. Connect your Android via USB cable to your computer.
Download and install ApowerMirror. You do not need to install an application on your Android as the PC version will install it for you. A message will pop up on your Android, “ApowerMirror will start capturing everything that’s displayed on your screen”.
You can click START NOW or CANCEL. There is a checkbox to “Don’t Show Again”. If you restart your Android or clear cache, you will need to to through this initial process again.
Once installed and working you can change to WiFi mode. Your wireless router must be on same network as your computer. Finally, this application is available for iPhone’s as well.
