GoPro Hero4 Session – Releases First Camera in Over Nine Years

GoPro Incorporated, released their first camera in over nine years today, for public consumption. The GoPro Hero4 Session records video up to 1440p30 frames per second. It takes photo up to eight megapixels.

This camera retails at $399.99 at a GoPro Hero4 Session GoPro online store. There are two types of this camera, standard and surf. This is GoPro’s lightest and smallest manufactured camera to date. You can access this camera remotely with a free GoPro app and or smart remote.

This smart remote requires an additional purchase. The GoPro Hero4 Session is water proof up to thirty three feet and ten meters. It has an easy one button touch recording feature.

This camera includes two microphones. One on front and one on back of device. Even though this camera is small it has a built in battery.

You can charge this battery either with an included USB cable or wall charger that is sold separately. This camera has built in WiFi and blue tooth. Allowing you to control this camera with a free GoPro app.

GoPro Hero4 Session includes free GoPro Studio editing software. This camera records video with an H.264 codec in .mp4 file format. Two 32kHz mono microphones record in AAC compression.

An external microphone jack is NOT available. It includes a Micro USB jack for charging and hooking up to a computer to access files. This device supports up to a 64 gigabyte Micro SD card.
