Sony Corporation has begun rolling out Android Nougat 7.0 upgrade to their Xperia Z5 series smart devices. The following Sony smart devices are available for Android Nougat 7.0 upgrade:
* Xperia Z3 plus
* Xperia Z4 tablet
* Xperia Z5
* Xperia Z5 compact
* Xperia Z5 premium
* Xperia X
* Xperia XA
* Xperia XA ultra
* Xperia X compact
Sony will roll out this Android Nougat 7.0 update to as many devices as possible. However, some markets may not roll out this update at all or more efficiently. Also, some carriers may not release this update at all or delay roll out.
This update may not be available in certain countries. Allegedly, this update is 1.2 gigabytes in size. If an update is available, depending on carrier, you will a notification that an update is available.
If your device has five hundred megabytes or less available then you will not see this update. You can manually check for an update by going to “Settings” then select “About phone” or “About Tablet”. Click on “Software Update”.
Download this update and then install. You may want to backup your data before this upgrade. Also, you may want to plug in your Sony phone or tablet during this upgrade.
If you are using a metered data plan, you may want to use a WiFi connection. Your device may reboot itself multiple times.Another way to update your device is to hook up your device via a USB cable.
Download Sony Xperia Companion software and then install this Android Nougat 7.0 update. This free software supports both Microsoft Windows and MAC operating system. Your device will be upgraded to build number 32.3.A.0.372.
