United Airlines grounded all their flights due to a network connectivity issue on July eighth two thousand and fifteen. They claimed that this issue was caused by a router problem. This computer hardware problem caused all flights to become grounded for around two hours.
This incidence occurred at Denver International Airport. Customers had to wait in long lines. According to spokeswoman Jennifer Dohm from an e-mail statement, “An issue with a router degraded network connectivity for various applications, causing this morning’s operational disruption,” and lamented that “We fixed the router issue, which is enabling us to restore normal functions”. This technology issue caused massive delays at United Airlines’ Denver International Airport hub.
Four domestic flights as well as fifty five United Express flights were cancelled. Over eight hundred United Airlines flights were delayed. This airlines company offered vouchers to their paying travelers via an online form, that were affected by these delays.
All cities that United Airlines serves was affected by this computer system outage.
