Gmail – No Longer Supports Windows XP and Windows Vista

Beginning, February eight two thousand seventeen, Gmail will no longer be supported on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista operating systems. Google Chrome stopped supporting both these operating systems with their last version of Chrome forty nine that supported a fore mentioned operating systems. Gmail will end support for Google Chrome web browser version fifty three or older.

A banner will be displayed at top of Gmail interface warning users to upgrade to Google Chrome fifty three or newer. For remainder of two thousand seventeen you will be able to use Gmail with older browsers previous to Google Chrome fifty three. However, starting in December of two thousand seventeen, Gmail users using not supported Google Chrome web browser version fifty three might get redirected to a basic HTML version of Gmail.

You may need to upgrade your operating system in order to use Gmail to receive security updates to Google Chrome. Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP and Vista to non corporate users.
